Terms of service

The rules for using Fincount, in plain words. Fincount counts and sizes young fish from video and gives you results with a range. It is a tool for your business, not a legal measure.

01

Who these terms are for

These terms are between Fincount and the organisation that signs up, such as a hatchery, a farm or a feed company. The person who signs up says they can accept the terms for their organisation.

02

What Fincount does

Fincount counts young fish from a phone video, estimates their size and weight, adds basins into sales, and issues count reports and count certificates. Every result is an estimate, shown with a range, the method and the model version.

03

Your account and your team

Owners and managers sign in through Amazon Cognito with a one time code sent to their email. Field staff join with an invite code and a PIN set on their own phone. You are responsible for who you invite and for removing people who leave. Removing a person stops their device from working.

04

Your data

You own your videos and records. You give Fincount the right to store and process them to run the service for you. We train Fincount AI on your videos only if you agree in writing, and you can withdraw that at any time. The data processing terms and the privacy notice give the details.

05

Using the service properly

Use Fincount for the fish and the business you signed up for. Do not try to get into another organisation's data, upload anything that is not a picture of fish and basins, or change a count or certificate after it is issued. To correct a sale, issue a new certificate.

06

Pilots and plans

The first hatcheries use Fincount free for 30 days. After that, plans are month to month, priced in naira as shown on the pricing page, and you can stop at any time. We tell you before you reach your plan limit.

07

What we promise and what we do not

We work to keep Fincount available and to give results as described on the accuracy page. Results are estimates. Fincount does not give veterinary advice or general feeding advice. We are not responsible for losses that come from relying on a result without checking it against the recount rule you agreed with your buyer.

08

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Fincount at any time and ask for your data to be exported or deleted. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why. Certificates already issued stay available for checking.

09
